Find out how you can encourage a young person to get involved in helping animals!

It's back to school time, the perfect opportunity for inspiring youth action through ROAR partner Roots & Shoots (a Jane Goodall Institute program). With tens of thousands of young people in almost 100 countries, the Roots & Shoots network branches out across the globe, connecting youth who share a common desire to help make our world a better place for ourselves and animals.

September 23 marks the 2007 Roots & Shoots Day of Peace, a worldwide gathering in support of the United Nationals International Day of Peace. This program is all about making positive change happen-for our communities, for animals and for the environment. Become a Roots & Shoots member and get involved in this year's event by planning group projects that promote peace or by "flying" Giant Peace Dove puppets made out of recycled materials.
