When Investigator Stephen Goldman checks in on a breeder's kennels just outside Houston he could never have been prepared for the sights he was about to witness-nearly 100 American bulldogs living in atrocious conditions and close to death.

Rescued From the Brink
Investigator Dana Almengor discovers two dead dogs and six starved beagles trapped in a kennel. Almengor goes on the hunt to find out who was responsible. A horse neglected and left with grossly deformed hooves leads to a night time arrest.
Wednesday May 7
In the Nick of Time
An out of control hoarder in Montgomery County gets a visit from the Houston SPCA. Two starving horses are left to fend for themselves in water-logged paddock. And Buck, an abandoned golden retriever is driven crazy with a mysterious constant itch.
An owner who's overbreeding dogs tries to prevent the SPCA Investigators from going into his home.

Helping the Helpless
Investigator Sage Halford seizes some possible fighting pit-bulls and later tackles their owner in court. A dilapidated trailer is being used to house Tibetan Spaniels for breeding; and two abandoned dogs are rescued and brought back to the shelter.
When Hurricane Ike struck the Texas coastline causing $27 billion dollars of damage, Houston SPCA's Chief Investigator Charles Jantzen set out with his team on an emergency mission to Galveston to try and save hundreds of trapped and abandoned pets.
